Anchored Music Ministries partnered with local church leaders in Emilia-Romagne and Sicily. Two workshops were held for local pastors with teaching on aspects of worship planning and a demonstration of how pastors can work with musicians. This mission was cosponsored by Presbyterian Mission International missionaries Joel and Jessica Rinn and was quite successful. We hope to do a follow up workshop in 2006 or 2007. Anchored Music President Mark Dalbey and his wife Beth travelled to a Pastor's Retreat in Bulgaria in association with MTW missionaries there. The goal was to provide training in worship planning and other areas. We are currently considering opportunities in Verona, Italy and London, England for 2009 and 2010. |

Anchored Music Ministries pioneered our approach to leadership development training through three successful Worship Workshops in Ghana, in cooperation with Global Evangelical Church (formerly Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Ghana) in 2001, 2002, and 2004. We worked in partnership with Covenant Theological Seminary on these workshops, and teams included CTS faculty and staff.
Subjects taught included History of Christian Music, three worship planning courses, songwriting for worship, two musical arranging classes, three music theory classes, Drama in Worship, Voice, Team Building and Relationships, and Spiritual Development of the Worship Leader. So much of what we do now came from our experiences in Ghana and this experience helped make Anchored Music Ministries who we are today. It continues to influence and shape us, even as we reflect on it two years later. |

The Mexico project began in association with San Pablo Seminary in Ciudad Juarez and Border Evangelism & Mercy Ministries in El Paso in the Fall of 2006. Starting with short term trips, the project provided training to grow the worship ministries of church plants along the entire U.S. border region from Tijuana to Corpus Christi.
Working with San Pablo professors, missionaries and local pastors, teams from Anchored Music Ministries offered training in both seminary and church settings, for small groups as well as larger gatherings. Subjects covered included Theology of Worship, Music Composition, Church Music History, Worship Planning, Team Building, Musicianship, Voice, and Songwriting for Worship, just for starters. In 2009, Anchored Music expanded its work to Mexicali and Tijuana on the Western U.S.-Mexico border with California. |
